The position is connected to the as a cross-disciplinary effort between research areas “Transport and storage” and “Maritime end-use”. The research will be performed in collaboration with the project partners and other researchers at and . Given the emerging and dynamic research field, the PhD scope may cover flexible research themes including both onboard power systems and port infrastructure, such as modeling and design of marine power and energy system, energy management and optimization for decarbonization, green port energy system, and smart hydrogen integration. The detailed scope of PhD will be defined based on the background and interest of the successful candidate.The position reports to the Head of Department.Duties of the positionPerform high-quality scientific research and publish the outcome through relevant channels. Take part in laboratory and experimental activities.Be a cooperative member of the project team and collaborate with other project partners.Take part in joint research activities such as case studies, data collection and analysis.Required selection criteriaYou must have a professionally relevant background in one or more of the disciplines: marine technology, electrical engineering, control engineering/cybernetics, hybrid power and energy systems, hydrogen energy conversion, and optimization.Your education must correspond to a five-year Norwegian degree program, where 120 credits are obtained at master's level.You must have a strong academic background from your previous studies and an average grade from the master's degree program, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared with . If you do not have letter grades from previous studies, you must have an equally good academic basis.
