Job Description As a Junior designer at & Other Stories, you are accountable for supporting the senior designer in developing loved products and assortment within our ready-to-wear section (OMNI). Work in tight collaboration with the design team, always with the target customer in mind in order to maximize growth and profitability, short and long term. Qualifications Responsibilities Your responsibilities are divided into, but not limited to, the following parts: Understand how the concept’s customer are affected by trends and research Be involved in which identified products the customer will be demanding next season. Create and update CLO and flat sketches and technical files based on the planned assortment Update overviews, color charts and presentation material Assist in fittings and update sketches accordingly to the new information. Responsible for developing and giving feedback on print artworks when needed. Assist the design function with designing the assortment. Constantly follow the selling and act on new tendencies as well as search for the new commercial fashion Competences Visionary and trend driven Fashion intelligence, driven by trend analysis to be able to predict what your customers will demand in a year from now Business sense and Salesmanship Knowledge in design and product development. Technical knowledge of how products are created. How fabrics, materials, trims and patternmaking create the best fit and design. Strong aesthetic on design connected to the concept / customer description. Aesthetic sense of colors and prints. Ability to design a well-coordinated product range with a focus on Modern Basics, Current fashion and unique treasure pieces. Knowledge in relevant product categories (Ready-to-wear) Additional Information This local contract position is placed in our Atelier in Paris. This contract is a temporary replacement contract starting in October for a duration of 6 months (maternity covering). Please kindly attach your Portfolio with your application if possible.
