Global Milling & Pasta Process Innovation Internship

Fratelli is looking for a newly graduate for a 6 months internship opportunity within the Global Milling & Pasta Process Innovation unit based in our headquarter in Parma (Italy). Brief Description - Process & Technological innovations require motivation, curiosity and teamwork, ensuring exchange of ideas and knowledge. There will be a strong focus on the ability to concretize ideas into pragmatic and creative solutions. The innovation focus will be on the development of know-how building programs on Milling processes and technologies to enable relevant product innovation projects. - In particular, the internship will leverage on the high level of digitalization in Pedrignano Mill to focus on the development and validation of procedures & dashboard to improve Milling process & product control. Key Activities • Design, develop, test and scale-up technical and technological solutions to improve and innovate the Milling production processes. • Process control enhancement is part of the activity when it improves process knowledge and when it contributes to the improvement of product quality, waste reduction and efficiency increase. • Understanding of the Pedrignano Mill layout for durum wheat semolina production flowchart to improve the team knowledge and help defining: - fine-tune and improve process parameters - potential area of improvements for existing equipment - tools to improve process & product control. Who are we looking for? • Newly graduates in Food/Chemical Process Engineering or Food Science & Technology. • Knowledge of Autocad, Inventor or similar. • Knowledge of Matlab, Office, Statistical Analysis, Lean Six Sigma. • Willingness to learn and to discuss the status quo of the projects. • Willingness to create documents and keep track of activities. • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills, data intelligence and strong attention to details. • Proactivity and growth mindset. • Fluency in English and Italian.
